By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, optimize, and validate CMM inspection programs for complex parts.Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections using CMM.Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.Calibrate CMM equipment, maintain probe qualifications, and ensure measurement accuracy.Troubleshoot CMM program issues, measurement discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve part quality issues.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D models.Proven experience in CMM operation, part fixturing, and program troubleshooting.Solid understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and probe qualification.Experience working in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.Bonus QualificationsProficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model manipulation and fixture designExperience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysisFamiliarity with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers, portable arms)Ability to develop custom CMM routines or scripts for automation and efficiencyJob Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, Inspection Programmer, Dimensional Metrologist, CMM Technician, Quality Control Programmer, Dimensional InspectorWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
