By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using various software platforms.Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.Select appropriate CMM probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for diverse parts.Execute CMM programs, inspect parts, and analyze measurement data for conformity.Generate comprehensive inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant teams.Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors, machine malfunctions, and measurement discrepancies.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure measurement accuracy and process improvement.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and CAD models.3+ years of hands-on experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques.Bonus QualificationsExperience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software.Proficiency in advanced CAD modeling for fixture design or analysis.Experience with scripting or automation for CMM routines or data analysis.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, CMM Quality Inspector, Dimensional Metrology Programmer, Metrology Technician, GD&T Programmer, Quality Control CMM ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
