DescriptionThe Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant. This position is responsible for maximizing capital and human resource utilization in attaining production quality objectives within established cost parameters. They are responsible for maintaining all standards in accordance with safety quality inventory and productivity levels as well as providing leadership to attain the sites operational and safety goals through the implementation of the Companys vision and strategy.Additional InformationTravel Required: 5%This position is also eligible for bonus and long-term incentive compensation awards based on performance and subject to the terms of the Companys applicable plans.Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Companys staff employees and business relationships.ResponsibilitiesPlan organize direct and run optimum day-to-day operationsIncrease production assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standardsFacilitate production output product quality and on-time shippingAllocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal resultsImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focusPromote employee involvement and engagement in site programs and processesCollect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtimeCommit to plant safety proceduresImplement capital projects and training programs to attain volume and productivity goalsDevelop and ensure execution of site budgetsManage coach and develop members of the management teamGuide teams in effectively utilizing the tools of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to complete continuous improvement projectsMaintain compliance with all regulatory requirementsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma 5-S Lean Manufacturing Transactional Lean etc.Must have a bachelors degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in operationsMust have at least seven (7) years of experience working in a leadership role at a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environmentMust have prior work experience managing profit and loss (P&L)Preferred Qualifications:Have Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt Black Belt etc.)Have a bachelors degree or higher in Management Engineering Business Administration Operations or Supply ChainHave prior work experience using timekeeping and/or production control systemsHave prior work experience using a safety management systemHave prior work experience leading or participating in an OSHA VPP Audit or maintaining VPP statusHave prior work experience in the paint or chemical processing industryHave previous work experience in a multi-shift operationRequired Experience:Manager Key Skills Lean Manufacturing,Six Sigma,Expense Management,Continuous Improvement,Lean Six Sigma,Management Experience,Food Processing,Operations Management,Production Management,Budgeting,Plant Management,Manufacturing Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
