Your primary focus will be on equipment operation maintaining plant safety and supporting maintenance. Collaborating with your team to ensure smooth daily operations identify safety hazards and maintenance needs and complete required documentation you will support continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.What you will be doing Safely operate the processing plant to transform raw pit material into finished aggregate productsUse various equipmentincluding loaders haul trucks skid steers welders and hand toolsto complete daily tasksCollaborate with team members to meet daily operational priorities and cross-train in other positions as neededHelp maintain a safe hazard-free work environment through housekeeping and routine maintenance dutiesConduct regular plant walk-throughs to identify safety hazards maintenance needs and review completed repairsComplete required documentation highlighting opportunities for plant improvements and escalate operational issues to the ForemanFollow all safety policies and regulations including MSHA and company standardsPerform other duties as assignedWhat we would like from you Ability to safely and confidently use power tools welders hand tools and related equipmentSelf-motivated with a strong ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamBasic mechanical aptitude and solid math skillsAvailability to work 12-hour shifts including weekendsPrevious experience in the aggregate industry and proficiency in welding is considered an assetPrior experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment is a plusHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is considered an assetLocation and other key details: This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Jeffco Pit 20855 Westgate Road.
