Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are now accepting resumes/applications for an Plumber Helpers for the Houma, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:Job Scope:Assemble, install, maintain, repair, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.Hotel fixture removal and replacement with some rerough-in requiredPosition Requirements:Basic knowledge of plumbingMust be able to pass drug screenMust have own PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)Must have reliable transportationAbility to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.Required Skills:Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.Reliable and self-motivatedPhysical dexterity.Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.Must be able to work independently efficientlyDuties/Responsibilities:Responsible for assisting plumberReading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.Fitting and repairing various household appliances.Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.Mange housekeeping activities when requested.Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.Assist in waste disposal and recycling activitiesCleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environmentMeet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standardsReport safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediatelyPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift objects up to 60 LBSMust be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.Ability to work in varying hot and cold environmentsAbility to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when requiredAbility to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditionsThe employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shockRequired Documents:Driver's License/Identification CardSocial Security Card/Birth CertificatePay:(DOE)Weekly PayPay Schedule: Monday - SundaySchedule:Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)10-12 Hour Days (With weather permitting)Duration of Job: 10 MonthsTasks beyond those listed above will be asked of you, so a positive, can-do attitude is required.Qualified candidates can submit a resume or apply in person at http://ejob.bz/ATS/jb.do?reqGK=27091615&portalGK=14432
