If you thrive in an environment where innovation and leadership go hand-in-hand we want to hear from you!POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition OverviewThe primary function of this role is to provide leadership and oversee all facility functions to maximize revenue and profit by providing excellent customer service managing expenses allocating and maximizing resources and meeting all safety and compliance requirements. The Plant Manager will facilitate safety and operations training and supervise plant operators at the facility to ensure safe and compliant operation at all times. This position determines best process management practices and works with local facility management and corporate operations leadership to standardize these practices.The Plant Manager is responsible for planning developing financial justifications to implement operational improvements and overseeing the hiring training and supervision of plant operators and administrative employees. This role is accountable for profitability equipment maintenance quality control chemical inventory management adherence to established SOPs and maintaining all required permits and licenses.Essential FunctionsDirects the activities of all aspects of the business unit to ensure safety and compliance while maximizing profitability through expense control and revenue growthFull P&L responsibility for the Houston PlantWorks with Sales Services and Customer Solutions to grow volumes and maximize pricing opportunities in the marketMaintains awareness of competitive market activities pricing changes new industry players and trends that may affect the businessFocuses on productivity metrics cost and continuous improvementEnsures the facility meets all local municipal state and federal regulations and safety requirementsEnsures proper staffing to maximize productivity capacity utilization and customer serviceOperates the facility safely and in full compliance with all regulations at all timesResponsible for staffing training and developing new employees to operate safely efficiently and profitablyEnsures work scheduling for operations employees supports plant needs and customer requirementsEnsures safety meetings are held regularly and documentedManages incoming wastewater and treatment processes using approved SOPsOversees discharge compliance and ensures proper sampling reporting and documentationEnsures incoming profiles manifests bills of lading and vendor/customer interactions meet company requirementsFacilitates excellent customer service at all levelsCompiles and analyzes various reports for management reporting operational decision-making and complianceManages administrative staff (if applicable) to ensure accurate billing receivables accounting and customer service using company-established practicesEnsures all preventive and corrective maintenance is performed timely and in accordance with acceptable guidelinesMonitors and reports site conditions to the Director of Treatment OperationsCompletes all required documents and reportsAdministers expense budgets within established guidelines to support cost-effective operationsParticipates in special projects and prepares various special reports as assignedAdheres to all regulations company policies procedures and instructionsFollows all safety rules and consistently uses appropriate safety equipmentCommunicates with co-workers management clients vendors and others in a courteous and professional mannerCoordinates effectively with other Liquid Environmental Solutions departmentsPerforms all other duties as assignedEducation & Experience5 years of Supervisory and/or Managerial experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (Required)Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)Waste stream or wastewater trainingMinimum of three years of wastewater experience or related industrial/processing/manufacturing experience (Required)Knowledge & SkillsExperience managing employees and teamsBudgetary and profit & loss accountabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word and ExcelExperience with Access PowerPoint and Outlook a plusProfessional appearance communication and demeanorWorking EnvironmentPeriods of work in hot or cold outdoor conditionsGeneral office environment when indoorsAbility to work around strong odorsSome lifting and bending requiredExtended periods of sitting possiblePrimary Facility Assignment250 Gelhorn Dr Houston TXRequired Experience:Manager Key Skills Lean Manufacturing,Six Sigma,Expense Management,Continuous Improvement,Lean Six Sigma,Management Experience,Food Processing,Operations Management,Production Management,Budgeting,Plant Management,Manufacturing Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
