We require an experienced cook who is familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. You must ensure that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests. Apply today if this sounds like a fantastic opportunity to advance your culinary career!Compensation:$16 hourlyResponsibilities:Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shiftPrepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sauteing and meet all presentation guidelines and follow standard recipesDemonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associatesGuarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy productsClean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulationsLead the kitchen team during dinner service, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely execution of each dishAssist with daily prep and station setup while maintaining a clean, organized workspaceWork closely with the Restaurant Manager to coordinate the flow of service and ensure guest satisfactionTrain, support, and motivate line cooks and dish staffHelp with inventory, ordering, and minimizing food wasteUphold food safety and sanitation standards at all timesQualifications:Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkersAbility to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storageEducational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificateMust be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethicPrevious experience working in food service is preferredMinimum 2 years of experience on the line in a high-quality or scratch kitchenExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and staffAbility to follow a recipe, strong cooking and plating skills with attention to detailAbility to stay calm and organized under pressureHard working, reliable, team-oriented, and takes ownership of the kitchen as a wholeAvailability for evening shifts, including weekends and holidaysTypical shift is 2 pm-9 pmFinal compensation based on experience and working interview performanceAbout CompanyThe Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is proud to be the only one-stop resort destination in the heart of the stunning Hocking Hills, offering over 40 luxury accommodations, two exceptional restaurants, a serene spa, a scenic golf course, and versatile retreat spaces.
