The Police Lieutenant provides managerial oversight for one or more divisions and units, reporting to the Chief of Police. Receives assignments and tasks in the form of general objectives and goals and is expected to develop strategies and approaches that meet those objectives while remaining in compliance with Federal and State laws, municipal ordinances, and University policies, and procedures. Provides instruction and guidance to direct reports to meet expectations and objectives for the division.The full salary range for the Police Lieutenant is $126,700 - $248,700 annually. However, the expected pay rate for this position is up to $219,840 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
