Duties include but are not limited to:Enforce state laws local ordinances and university regulations.Issue summonses and/or make arrests as appropriate.Intervene using the appropriate level of force when necessary.Conduct shift-level investigations and secure crime scenes.Collect preserve and document evidence; provide testimony in court proceedings.Interview subjects witnesses and suspects; obtain written statements.Conduct motor-vehicle law enforcement including radar and DWI enforcement issuing citations and/or making arrests.Investigate vehicle crashes and complete required reports.Provide first aid and CPR as needed.Check secure and monitor buildings and facilities.Perform duties and special details specific to assigned shifts.Direct traffic and perform crowd-control duties during special events and emergency incidents.Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a Probationary AppointmentLocation: Louisiana Tech University Police Department - Ruston LAPosition Requirement: Must complete a P.O.S.T. certified academy and possess a valid Louisiana Drivers license.How To Apply:To apply for this vacancy click on the following link: you start the application process you will not be able to save your work so ensure you have everything available to complete your application before you begin.Louisiana Tech University is an AA/ADA/EEO employer.
