They support the culinary team by preparing fresh, high-quality ingredients in a clean and efficient manner, helping us deliver the bold flavors and fast service Popeyes is known for.Responsibilities:Prepare IngredientsWash, peel, cut, and portion vegetables and other ingredients.Marinate or season food items according to Popeyes’ recipes and standards.Batch Cooking & PortioningCook or prepare food items in advance (e.g., rice, sides, sauces).Portion items accurately to reduce waste and ensure consistency.Follow Recipes and GuidelinesAdhere to Popeyes’ food preparation standards and recipes.Ensure food safety and portion control at all times.Keep Stations StockedRestock line stations with prepped items before and during busy periods.Rotate stock and label items with dates using FIFO (First In, First Out) method.Maintain CleanlinessKeep prep area clean and organized at all times.Sanitize surfaces, tools, and equipment regularly.Assist the Kitchen TeamSupport cooks and other kitchen staff with prep or cooking tasks as needed.Help with dishwashing or cleaning during downtime.Check InventoryAlert management when stock is low or nearing expiration.Help with receiving and organizing deliveries.Requirements: Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environmentAbility to multitaskAble to project a professional appearanceMust have a positive attitude at all times in the restaurantAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsAble to communicate and work as a teamExperience is preferredMust be able to work a consistent schedule based on availabilityMust be able to stand or walk for the duration of the shiftFrequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reachingMust be a minimum of 16 years of age
