The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.Position Overview Under the supervision of the Manager the Porter Aide transports patients to and from the Diagnostic Imaging Department as directed and in accordance with standardized procedures. The Porter Aide maintains the supply of materials and department supplies as ensures dressing rooms are kept tidy.Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health current policies and procedures and applicable legislation.Experience Six (6) months previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12 education (MB Standards).Certification/Licensure/Registration Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated in Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR Training.Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently.Demonstrated communication skills.Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures.Ability to display independent judgment.Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.Ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis.Physical Requirements Not ApplicableWe have a unique ability to work together to make health care better.
