The Porter is an overnight position and is responsible for ensuring an exceptional first impression of the community parking area and main entry. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates good judgement and problem-solving skills. Belmont Village Porters excel in an active position, collaborate effectively with others, and take initiative while prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors thrive as they age. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform cleaning of the community common areas to ensure compliance with Belmont Village cleanliness standardsEnsure common area restrooms and laundry rooms are adequately supplied with toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, laundry detergent, and other items as necessaryPick up and properly dispose of exterior trash, remove waste, replace trash can linersCommunicates respectfully and professionally with residents and guestsUses sound judgement when responding to visitors arriving after stated visiting hoursMake hourly rounds to confirm the community's exterior doors, and other points of entry into the community are lockedReport unusual occurrences, suspicious situations or persons to the Manager on Duty and take appropriate action as deemed necessary by community protocolMake hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interactionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Housekeeper, Janitor or PorterAbility to organize and prioritize work independently and efficientlyMust be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written EnglishAbility to work early morning, nights, weekends and holidays as neededProfessional, pleasant and team oriented attitudeConsistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the communityAll offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test. Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications.
