Job DescriptionPosition Title:PorterDepartment:NJ JanitorialFTE/Classification:Part-Time/Non-ExemptReports To:Assistant Director of MaintenanceLocation:Various LocationsPRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for cleaning contracted buildings and office space.Monday through Friday (5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.) and Saturday (3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.).Essential Functions Include:Clean building floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming them.Gather and empty trash.Service clean and supply restrooms.Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using specific cleaners sponges and squeegees.Dust furniture walls machines and equipment.Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building.REQUIREMENTS:One year of janitorial experiences (preferred but not required)Ability to get to job site for required shiftsNorth Jersey Friendship House is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
