All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.Type of Employment:Regular Full-TimeWork Location:Murray, KYEmployment Term:12 MonthsPosition Type:Faculty (Tenure-Track)Department:President's OfficeSummary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:Murray State University seeks an innovative Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as the University’s chief academic officer and partner with President Ron Patterson in advancing academic excellence and student success.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide vision and leadership for all areas of Academic Affairs, including six colleges, the School of Nursing & Health Professions, the School of Agriculture, libraries, research centers, and academic support unitsGuide program development, accreditation, and resource alignmentLead faculty recruitment, development, and student success initiativesOversee academic budgets, accreditation processes, and compliancePartner with deans to launch new professional programs (dental hygiene, veterinary medicine)Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative academic cultureMinimum Education Requirements:A Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., or appropriate terminal degree) from an accredited institution.Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:• A Scholarly record (peer-reviewed publications/creative activity) commensurate with appointment at the rank of full professor with tenure in an academic department.• Proven record of with a minimum of five years of academic administrative leadership with oversight of program development, accreditation, and budget management• Strong financial and resource stewardship skills• Demonstrated success in faculty and student success initiativesPreferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:Direct experience with professional program accreditation and managing complex academic portfolios.Staff Grade:UngradedPosting Date:10/03/2025Open Until Filled:YesSpecial Instructions to Applicants:Greenwood Asher & Associates is assisting Murray State University in this search.
