The Chu Lab develops and applies innovative computational methods for genome sequencing data to advance our understanding of human health and disease (e.g. cancer and neurodegenerative disorders) with a current focus on genomic repeats; including transposable elements tandem repeats and large satellite ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in computational biology/bioinformatics/computer science/statistics or another quantitative field as well as excellent programming and communication skills. Experience in analysis of genomic sequencing data is highly desirable. Experience with genomic repeats and/or immunology is a strong plus but not required.
