Post Production Support Engineering Technical ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SIWS) is seeking a First-Line Post Production Support Engineering Technical Manager to lead a specialized Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team for the International Space Station (ISS) Program in Houston TX.In this role you will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for on-orbit logistics and ground logistics support of all hardware sustained under the ISS contract. The Manager translates the Statement of Work into annual plans ensures spares accountability oversees manifesting and shipping directs supportability planning and maintains logistics data systems. This role will coach and develop engineers and technicians drive continuous improvement in logistics processes uphold the highest standards for quality and safety and work cross-functionally with engineering. Apply now to lead this world-class team that continues to provide logistics support to the ISS.Position Responsibilities:Provide oversight for On-Orbit Planning and Execution:Maintain On-Orbit Maintenance Plan and Maintenance Data CollectionMaintain Logistics Support Analysis Records and Illustrated Parts BreakdownsOversee training and certification of Mission Evaluation Room (MER) On-Console ILS positionsProvide oversight for Ground Planning and Execution:Demand AnalysisMaterial ManagementResidual Asset ManagementShipping and Logistics ExecutionManifesting for sustained hardwareSpares tracking and planningProvide oversight for Data Systems including ensuring GOLDesp and Info Center operations administration and sustainment:Stakeholder Communication & ReportingProvide regular status risk and schedule to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Boeing leadershipTeam LeadershipHire develop and retain high-performing staff; conduct performance reviews; promote safety quality and continuous improvement.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or higher8 years relevant experience in aerospace/logistics/sustainmentExperience translating SOW/contract requirements into annual plans schedules WBS and deliverablesProven knowledge of spares management manifesting shipping regulationsExperience with logistics databases and data systemsExperience with relevant ISS/space sustainment guidanceFormal and/or non-formal leadership experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in engineering leadership or engineering in aerospaceExcellent communications skills verbal and writtenExperience effectively communicate at all levels of management customers and partnersExperience building a safe environment of inclusion transparency and trustLeadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomesExperience in leading mentoring and engaging individuals and teamsExperience providing active mentorship and career guidanceCan up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent growing leaders and helping underperforming membersExperience gaining trust of team and provide guidance for their careersNASA Access:This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.Drug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
