Fan Lab aims to understand genetic causes of rare human diseases using case-control association studies, and improving interpretation of genetic variations using machine learning methods. Research projects will involve study design, data acquisition, method development, data analysis, and software/database maintenance.Expected Salary: Salary will commensurate with experience and will follow NIH guidelines.Minimum Requirements: PhD in computer science, statistical genetics, bioinformatics or related quantitative subject. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high performance computing Experience with deep learning modelling Experience with bioinformatics projects Relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals Ability to mentor junior team members A strong background in programming (e.g. python or R) Demonstrated experience with machine learning modelling Interest in learning biological/genetic concepts Excellent communication skills Special Instructions to Applicants: Interested applicants should send a CV, statement of interest, and contact information for three references to [email protected].
