DescriptionThe Postdoctoral Scholar investigates the novel functions of autism spectrum disorder-associated genes in the blood-brain barrier.ResponsibilitiesPerforms mouse brain surgery in vivo Ca2 imaging of the mouse brain.Performs behavioral testing using mice.Analyze data using statistical tools.Brain clearing and light-sheet imaging.Imaging using confocal microscopes.Gene cloning cell culture proteomics.RNA sequencing flow cytometry.Performs western blotting immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry.Writing manuscripts.QualificationsEDUCATION:Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Skill in gene cloning proteomics confocal imaging brain surgery brain Ca2 imaging in vivo behavioral testing brain histology and computational/statistical analyses.Ability to work independently self-motivated and detail oriented.WORK SCHEDULE:This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
