We are cultivating positive change and we hope you become a part of it.Job DetailsWe are a leading energy industry company seeking a part-time Power Plant Operator with a strong background in operating and maintaining various plant equipment. This unique role will allow you to leverage your expertise in reciprocating engines, Diesel Engine, maintenance inspections, filtration vessels, and maintaining dehydration skids. As a consultant, you will be a key player in our team, providing valuable insights and implementing strategies to improve our power plant operations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.Responsibilities: Oversee the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment, including reciprocating engines, Diesel Engines, filtration vessels, and dehydration skids. Perform regular maintenance inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally. Monitor and adjust control panels and equipment to regulate the flow of power. Collaborate with the team to identify operational issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including OSHA standards. Provide technical advice and expertise to the plant management team. Develop and implement training programs for plant personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge. Participate in emergency response and recovery activities as required. Regularly review and update operational procedures and manuals to ensure they reflect current practices and regulations.Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Power Plant Operator or similar role within the energy industry. Proven experience with reciprocating engines, Diesel Engines, maintenance inspections, and plant equipment. Knowledge and experience in maintaining filtration vessels and dehydration skids. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations. Strong understanding of gas and steam turbine operations. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive in identifying and addressing potential operational issues. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Certifications in power plant operations or maintenance are a plus.Interested in hearing more?
