Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Engineering Test TechnicianJob DescriptionAs an Engineering Test Technician, you will play a pivotal role in troubleshooting and investigating issues related to the design and operations of test cells. Your responsibilities include verifying laboratory equipment calibrations, assisting in system designs for lab or production functions, setting up and conducting tests, and managing lab data acquisition systems.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and investigate problems related to the design and operations of test cells.Verify that laboratory equipment is current with calibration requirements.Assist in designing systems for lab or production functions.Set up products for testing and perform all necessary steps to conduct both prescribed and specialized tests.Investigate and troubleshoot test equipment-related problems and document findings.Recommend corrective or improvement changes to Design Engineering.Design and maintain lab data acquisition systems and support test data management.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting skills in mechanical and test equipment contexts.Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing design, and prototype testing.Research and development experience in engineering testing.Mechanical skills and a solid understanding of test equipment.Broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.Min Voc-Tech degree in HVAC with 0 - 2 years of experience.Experience with lab systems, process controls, and associated processes.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient computer skills, particularly with MS Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment.Knowledge of instrumentation related to refrigeration and gas combustion equipment.Formal training or demonstrated ability in LabVIEW or similar programming software.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, AL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.20/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
