Working side-by-side with the culinary team, this role ensures the kitchen is stocked, organized and ready to deliver our delicious menu items. What you bring to the tableMake sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.Stock and organize kitchen storage areas, keeping the heart of the house running smoothly.Follow prep lists and direction from the Sous Chef to complete daily tasks with accuracy and pride.Prepare ingredients-slicing, dicing, chopping, and breading meats, fish, and vegetables-then properly label, date, and store them for service.Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas.Jump in as a steward when needed, supporting the team with flexibility and teamwork.Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture by bringing energy, consistency, and a guest-focused mindset to every task.Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. In this role, you'll I be required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally sit. It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.This is a quick summary of the main duties and requirements-it might not cover everything you could be asked to do.Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus pointsFriendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.Six (6) months of commercial kitchen exposure. Must obtain a current Food Handler's Card.Ability to read instructions.Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe.
