Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLas Vegas Petroleum, a premier provider of travel center services, is looking for a dedicated and efficient Prep Cook to enhance our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the kitchen to ensure high-quality meals are served promptly to our valued customers.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring they meet the quality standards of our kitchen.Assist with the cooking process, including setting up cooking stations and organizing supplies.Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by washing utensils and equipment, and following food safety protocols.Label, store, and handle food items in compliance with health regulations.Support chefs during meal service and help with plating and presentation of dishes.Participate in inventory management and report any shortages to kitchen management.Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.RequirementsPrior experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.Understanding of food safety guidelines and proper kitchen practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Good communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.A strong enthusiasm for food preparation and a willingness to learn.BenefitsPTO401kHealthDental & Vision
