Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMethod Hospitality has welcomed a series of new food and beverage concepts to the growing scene in downtown Detroit. We are looking for passionate hospitality professionals to join our team at Hiroki San. Hiroki San, a new iteration of Method’s famed Philadelphia eatery, Hiroki, that will feature izakaya and omakase style dining and will have two additional spaces to enhance your experience; Sakazuki, an intimate street-level sake pub featuring exclusive Japanese libations; and Aladdin Sane, a dreamy, upscale cocktail escape with a selection of world-class whiskeys and spirits from around the globe.We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals to join our Back of House team. Qualified candidates should possess: Strong, upbeat and positive personalityAssist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, slicing, and portioning, following established recipes and portion control guidelines.Prepare stocks, sauces, dressings, and other basic components under the guidance of the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces. Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure quality and freshness of ingredients, promptly reporting any issues or discrepancies.Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food production during service hours, supporting Line Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of perishable items, temperature control, and safe storage of food products.Follow standard operating procedures and kitchen guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.Strong, upbeat and positive personalityCommitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detailPassion for food, beverage and hospitalityAbility to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environmentTeam and family-oriented mentalityDependabilityOpen availability is strongly preferred.Benefits include affordable health insurance and a dining discount for qualified team members.
