The Prep Cook is committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift and prepares food with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specs with further direction from Management. The Prep Cook is also responsible for knowing the food hierarchy in the storage of products in the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer, and also keeping the dry storage organized. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing fresh, delicious food that looks great too.Responsibilities:Follow prep list created by Kitchen Manager and General Manager.Follow recipes by accurately measuring ingredients and following mixing methodsPrepare ready to eat food and cut raw meats while avoiding cross contamination.Undertake basic cooking duties such as sauting vegetables and boiling soupsLabel and stock all food products for proper rotationUnderstanding of sanitation and cleanliness standards and proceduresPerform other related duties as requestedHelp with washing dishes and keep kitchen clean when need it.Qualifications:Minimum age: 18 yearsGood understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygieneFamiliar with general kitchen equipment and appliancesAble to follow instructions accurately and efficientlyAble to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAble to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
