Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryDo you love cooking and making a difference in little lives? We’re looking for two cheerful, dependable Preschool Cooks to join our team! If you enjoy whipping up pre-cooked frozen healthy meals, keeping things clean, and working with a joyful, purpose-driven crew—this might be the perfect fit for you. The hours are as follows: Monday thru Friday 6am to 12noon and 12noon to 630pm. to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.DutiesWhat You'll Do - Key ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do๐ Cook with CarePrepare yummy, healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for our preschoolers and school-agersMake sure meals follow the state’s food rules (we’ll help you learn them!).Adapt meals if kids have allergies or special food needs.๐ Keep Things on TrackFill out simple forms to show what you served and when.Follow Schedule RoutineHelp us stay in good standing with nutrition and health rules (DECAL and CACFP).Be ready to smile and show your kitchen to inspectors when they visit!๐งผ Keep It CleanWash dishes and wipe down counters—your kitchen will shine!Store food the right way and keep an eye on those expiration dates.Follow safe food handling steps to keep everyone healthy and happy.๐ฆ Stay StockedKeep track of pantry items and let us know what we need to order.Unpack deliveries and put everything away in its place.RequirementsHave a high school diploma or GEDPass CRC (criminal records check) testHave effective time management skillsBe punctual and dependable to work scheduleHave (or can get) a food safety certificate like SERV Safe within 30 days of hiringHave 1 year of food service of food service or commercial kitchen experience, preferably in an early childhood or school settingCan lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for a whileLove working in a team and bringing positive energy every dayParticipate in required CACFP/BFTS training and monthly staff meetingsBenefitsOngoing professional development and trainingPaid time off and holidays after successful completion of probationary periodMerit bonusAbout UsFor over 20 years, Arrow Christian Academy has been dedicated to laying a strong educational foundation for young learners in preparation for kindergarten and beyond.
