Job Duties include but are not limited to:Provide assistance in classrooms and kitchen as outlined in the Daily ScheduleRemain flexible in classroom assignments in order to maintain the safety of all studentsAssist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.Provide breaks and lunches for classroom teachersAssist in all areas of daily center activities, including meal preparation and servingMeeting the individual needs of every child by interacting with them to encourage and support play, exploration, and learningCollaborating with families to create inclusive and culturally relevant classroom and curriculumProviding a fun, welcoming, warm and safe classroom environmentProfessional daily interactions and active communication with children, co-workers, and parents.Meeting and following requirements of all licensing agenciesMust meet all Open Space Early Learning Center and local, state, or national basic health requirements as well as other requirements, including but not limited to: American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR & First Aid trainingNew Illinois Food HandlerCurrent Gateways MembershipInccrra Training: Sudden Infant DeathInccrra Training: Shaken Baby SyndromeInccrra Training: Trauma Informed PracticeMandated Reporter TrainingPhysical within last 6 monthsProof of TB Test, TDAP, and 2 Doses of MMR and immunizationProof of a completed primary series of Covid-19 vaccination3 letters of recommendationProof of Education -- Official Transcripts or HS DiplomaPersonnel will have a fingerprinting and/or criminal investigation report completed
