Passionate, professional, and qualified Directors with a passion for Early Childhood Education and who have preschool or daycare experience are invited to apply.This role is full-time starting at $70,000 with the necessary credentials and experienceWhat you'll doProvide effective leadership toward a team of teachers for the educational needs and interests of preschool children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculumSupervision of preschool children to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all studentsMaintain NAEYC and MSDE Office of Child Care compliance Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and communityMarket and grow your campus community and enrollmentQualificationsThe Director candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Additionally, an MSDE 90-hour Preschool Certification or a CDA with the Preschool Endorsement may be necessary.Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant leadership experience, have run a campus with 100-150 children, as well as the following credentials/skills:Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and instructional strategiesTeam-oriented and willing to work with others A personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-tempered that lends itself to building relationshipsDeep understanding of financial management and working within a budgetStrong knowledge of MSDE regulations and NAEYC AccreditationProficient technological skills including Microsoft Office is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skillsExtremely reliable in attendance and punctualityHighly organized and able to prioritize and multi-taskPer Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment.
