DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:Implements individual and group specialized instruction services in accordance with student Individualized Education Programs by embedding instruction into the students learning environment and collaborating with parents IEP team members and community stakeholders to promote positive student outcomes.Participates in the identification of eligible young children by administering screenings and assessments and completing Evaluation Report and IEP Development to ensure compliance with Child Find mandate.Maintains compliance of required special education paperwork by completing reevaluation reports IEP development and data collection and other supporting documentation to ensure progress on student outcomes and compliance with local state and federal regulations.Creates and maintains caseload schedule throughout an assigned region to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery per the Individualized Education Program.Remains current with new and effective practices program procedures laws and regulations by attending professional development to comply with Preschool Early Intervention program requirements. Represents and promotes the AIU and Preschool Early Intervention by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships that effectively support families and advance student outcomes.Qualifications:Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-8 requiredValid PA certification in Early Childhood PK-4 preferredExperience working with the preschool population in Early Childhood Environments preferredEffective communication skillsAbility to build trust and positive working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholder groupsAbility to analyze and resolve complex issues while remaining logical and interpersonalExcellent collaboration and leadership skillsAbility to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work under pressureSelf-motivator independent cooperative flexible creative and responsibleAbility to travel throughout the County requiredAbility to comply with the AIU Conduct policyAdditional Requirements:Current Act 114 Act 34 and Act 151 required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.Working Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Sitting for extended period of timeLifting carrying pushing pulling 35 poundsAbility to kneel crouch bend and reach to retrieve and handle teaching materials and suppliesMoving fingers and hands in a repetitive mannerAbility to speak clearly and distinctly when communicating with limited English-speaking customersHearing clearlyAdequate vision to perform dutiesThe information contained in this job description is for compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position.
