That’s why we hire the best educators and strive to make them feel like family.Our mission is to deliver a high-quality early childhood education program, helping students successfully reach important developmental, emotional, and academic milestones — all while instilling strong character and a lasting foundation of Christian faith.ResponsibilitiesSupport daily activities that promote physical, mental, and social development — including games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and occasional field trips.Build strong, respectful relationships with children by demonstrating courtesy, patience, and acceptance.Help maintain classroom safety, order, and routine by reinforcing behavioral expectations and procedures.Facilitate balanced instructional experiences that encourage learning through observation, questioning, play, and discovery.Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the individual needs and interests of children.Greet children warmly and assist with transitioning them into the school environment.Provide age-appropriate care, including feeding, dressing, and diapering as needed.Promote proper hygiene and healthy eating habits through modeling and instruction.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a preschool environment and involves daily interaction with children in early learning classrooms.Physical DemandsMust be able to frequently sit, and occasionally climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds.Must have the ability to see at close and far distances, distinguish colors, and adjust focus as needed.ScheduleFull-time position: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional extended hours may be required to support center operations.TravelMinimal local travel may be required for training or professional development.About Our BenefitsIn addition to offering competitive pay, The Pillars provides:Paid training;Medical, vision, and dental coverage;Voluntary Life, Accident, & Illness insurance;Short Term Disability;Two weeks (80 hours) of Paid Time Off;Paid Family Leave for up to 8 weeks;6% Employer Match on 401(kEligibility to Participate in Bonus Programs;13+ paid holidays;Grant and Scholarship ProgramChild Tuition DiscountsCDA and Continuing Education assistanceAn engaging environment full of fun, birthday surprisesRequirements:Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMeet HHS minimum education and experience requirementsPreferred Education and ExperiencePrior teaching experienceAdditional Eligibility QualificationsMeet minimum age, education, background check and medical qualifications for caregivers established by DFPS LicensingComplete annual training required by DFPS LicensingMaintain Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certificationsIf transporting children, Class C driver license with clear Department of Public Safety record and two hours of transportation training annually.Required Education and ExperienceMeet DFPS minimum education and experience caregiver requirements.
