About the Role
As a Preschool Teacher at Merryhill School, you'll play a central role in nurturing the growth, curiosity, and early development of our youngest learners. Toddlers thrive with structure, exploration, and warm, responsive caregiving-and your classroom will provide the secure, joyful spaces they need to build confidence and independence.

You will also:

  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum focused on sensory exploration, early language, gross and fine motor development, and social-emotional growth

  • Foster a consistent and comforting daily routine that supports toddlers' need for structure and security

  • Encourage independence through gentle guidance, responsive caregiving, and purposeful play

  • Collaborate with fellow early childhood educators and school leadership to ensure alignment in instructional practices and care standards

  • Communicate daily with parents through verbal updates, digital reports, and informal check-ins

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment aligned with licensing standards and school policies

What We're Looking For

  • 12 semester (or 18 quarter) units in Early Childhood Education, including coursework in child development, curriculum, and family/community

  • Experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting preferred

  • Deep patience, nurturing instincts, and a genuine love for toddlers and early learning

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with both children and families

  • Reliable, collaborative, and committed to high-quality care and education
