Classroom Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Developmental Guidelines and studies based on student interests. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning! Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Plan individualized activities to meet the needs of children. Submit lesson plans for review in a timely manner. with an experienced team enabling you to showcase your strengths and creativity within a healthy and functional work environmentEstablishing a home-school connection and positive family relations through interactive communication with parentsProvide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to engage children in learningResponsible for the overall classroom management, creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play and blocks.Provide a reasonable balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activitiesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field OR proof of current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Associate's or CDA Credentialing Program1-2 years of previous experience preferredStrong work ethic and communication skillsPositive attitude and inherent love for young childrenMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
