Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummarySteel Forgings Inc. (SFI) is a leading manufacturer of custom butt weld fittings that has been servicing the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. SFI is seeking a Press Operator to join the SFI team.Responsibilities:Manufacture fittings to detail job specifications.Change out press tooling based on production schedule. Organize and maintain press tooling.Operate and control the press furnaces.Ability to read and understand detailed job requirements (job traveler).Operating mobile equipment.Must be able to take instruction and follow production and safety guidelines.In absence of lead press operator, assume the responsibilities of the day to day operation of the press and production output.Knowledge, Experience, and RequirementsA minimum of 3 years of experience operating a press or industrial manufacturing equipment. Prior forklift certification. Ability to read and understand drawings.Must be able to utilize micrometers, calipers, and scales.Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.Movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, and other active movements.Working in hot environments for extended periods.Benefits:Competitive compensation.Eligible for Monthly Bonus based on company performance.
