Primary Purpose

The Prevailing Wage Coordinator supports the collection, review, and processing of prevailing wage labor hours to ensure accurate payroll submission and basic compliance with state and federal requirements. This entry-level role is responsible for gathering daily labor information, completing routine reports, and assisting with payroll data entry. The Coordinator works closely with Operations, Sales and Payroll teams and receives training to learn prevailing wage rules, company systems, and compliance processes.

Essential Functions

Report Support & Monitoring
  • Run and review daily and weekly reports to confirm prevailing wage orders.
  • Assist with tracking required prevailing wage hours and updating internal logs.
  • Help compile basic reports related to billing and training fund payments.
  • Support weekly non-performance reporting and other recurring compliance requirements.
  • Prepare simple employee forms and documents used for prevailing wage compliance.
Data Collection & Verification
  • Request and collect daily and weekly prevailing wage hours from Operations.
  • Review timecards, service tickets, and labor entries for completeness and accuracy.
  • Flag discrepancies and work with teams to correct missing or incorrect information.
Data Entry & Payroll Support
  • Enter prevailing wage hours into payroll systems each week with accuracy.
  • Assist with importing/exporting data across payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Maintain organized records of wage data and supporting documentation.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Payroll, accounting, administrative support, or data entry preferred. Experience with timekeeping or payroll systems is a plus but not required. Training will be provided on prevailing wage rules and system processes.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing or entering data.
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll concepts is helpful but can be learned on the job.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, vLookups, Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Operations and Payroll teams.
  • Willingness to learn prevailing wage laws, compliance requirements, and company systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

$20.36 - $28.50 / hour

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
