HIRING!! Prevailing Wage Project Accountant in the Minneapolis Area!

We are seeking a skilled Prevailing Wage Project Accountant to support prevailing wage reporting and ensure compliance with construction contract requirements. The ideal candidate will attend project kickoff meetings, perform weekly reporting, and assist with third-party monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Review construction contract requirements for assigned projects and attend project kickoff meetings.
  • Ensure timely weekly reporting per contract requirements and log any payment shortfalls.
  • Support third-party contractually required monitoring as needed.
  • Review project settings in LCPtracker for accuracy.
  • Verify the wage determination data in LCPtracker for correctness.
  • Load payroll information into LCPtracker and review for accuracy and completeness.
  • Resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate payments, especially for apprentices.
  • Generate and provide weekly payroll and apprentice reports from LCPtracker to meet customer billing requirements.
  • Respond to general questions on prevailing wage and LCPtracker processes.
  • Represent the company's interests when interacting with project auditors.
  • Assist with annual and special audits as necessary.
  • Review team member setups and timecard reports prior to processing.

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in Payroll, Prevailing Wage, or Project Accounting.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or architecture industry.
  • Proficiency in using pivot tables and vlookups.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Auditing experience would be a significant advantage.

Work Environment:

This team was created following the Oracle Cloud implementation, focusing on prevailing wage and IRA projects. The team has expanded from five to twenty projects, with prevailing wage playing a significant role. The position requires in-office presence three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) after two weeks of training. You will work with Oracle, UKG, and LCP for certified payroll reports. The shared service location houses the majority of all Accounting and Finance operations.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
