We're looking for a Primary Care Clinician interested in a 1099 contract role at our first clinic opening in the Boston area! You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalized, compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with SMI. This role requires an on-site commitment of approximately 4–5 hours per week.The opportunity:Amae Health is currently seeking a compassionate Primary Care Clinician (FNP, MD or DO) to work with our Integrated Care Team. In this role, you will provide holistic primary care services to Amae's patients with severe mental illness. This position will report directly to the Clinical Director and will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, peers, and a health coach, to ensure that our members receive the highest level of care possible. This primary care role is designed to integrate with and support the mental health treatment our members receive at Amae.What you'll work on: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and manage acute and chronic illnesses while considering their impact on mental healthPrescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use, while considering potential interactions with psychiatric medicationsPerform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings, integrating the findings with mental health care plansEducate members on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions, emphasizing the connection between physical and mental well-beingMaintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation that integrate with mental health care plansParticipate in ongoing professional development and attend regular team meetings to review and discuss patient care, fostering a collaborative environmentUphold Amae Health's commitment to providing compassionate, holistic, and culturally sensitive careAdhere to all relevant ethical, legal, and professional standardsAbout YouNP Degree from an accredited school or MD/DO degree from an accredited medical schoolCurrent, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Massachusetts Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialtyFor NP PCP candidates, minimum of 5 years RN experience prior to PCP licensure and 1+ year experience as FNP after completion of clinical hours is preferredPrevious experience working independently as a PCPExcellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and embrace a whole-person care approachStrong commitment to patient-centered careFlexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the organization and our membersPreferred experience in primary care for patients with severe mental illnessPreferred experience in whole-person, holistic, integrated careWhat we provide: Competitive compensationA best in class work environment with some of the leading mental health professionals in the field!
