Early Head Start (EHS) is a federally funded community-based program serving below income families and their children from infants to the age of 3 years. The mission of Early Head Start is school readiness social/emotional development and promotion of heathy family functioning. Under the supervision of the Center Manager you as the Primary Teacher will ensure the safety of the children implement appropriate child activities and supervise each childs social/emotional development.Benefits and Compensation:We want you to be well have work/life flexibility grow your career with us and have the resources and support you need. Check out our comprehensive benefit offeringsherein support of various dimensions of your wellbeing.This position has a hourly rate of $19.62 and is an onsite role.In this role you will:Implement classroom activities for each child in the class that provides a secure and enjoyable environment.Organize materials and furniture that supports active and quiet playtime that responds to each childs individual needs. Must be able to observe and evaluate each childs learning styles and behavior to determine their readiness for new learning opportunities.Create and maintain a positive work environment and a working relationship with teammates.Attendance reliability.Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build trust and nurture relationships.Participate in regular supervision with supervisor by providing regular updates.Remain current on knowledge of standards and other information on program.Enter data for record keeping and reporting to meet federal guidelines.Your Background: We understand that you may obtain skills through a variety of professional personal educational and volunteer experiences.Current CDA in Infant Toddler DevelopmentAssociates degree in Early Childhood Education preferredOral and written fluency in English; bilingual language skills a plusProficiency in usage of basic technological tools including laptops/computers email phones and internet; working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to demonstrate and live the organizational values of Communication Integrity Respect Collaboration and AccountabilityAdditional requirements:Successful completion of background checks upon hireTB testing results required upon hire and conducted yearlyAbility to interpret documents such as safety rules and policy and procedures manualsMust be able to lift a child up to 40 pounds.Must be comfortable coming into contact with sick children and taking care of toileting demands of children.
