Principal Accounting Analyst at MISO

Key Responsibilities:Facilitate and execute monthly close proceduresAnalyze monthly financial statements and prepare variance explanationsSupport documentation implementation and monitoring of internal controlsPrepare account reconciliations and analyses for balance sheet and income statement accountsPrepare audited financial statements footnotes and supplemental schedulesOversee Fixed Assets process (additions disposals depreciation)Maintain and ensure timely payment and filing of property taxesPrepare Form 990 and supporting documentationReview journal entries for accuracy and completenessAnalyze complex data across departments to support decision-makingWhat we are looking for:Strong understanding of US GAAP and ability to research and resolve accounting issuesExperience in gas electric or power systems preferredProficiency with Oracle FinancialsIntermediate Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAppropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors including but not limited to location of the role individual competencies education/professional certifications and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
