Were looking for individuals who like dealing with ambiguity solving hard large scale problems and are excited about inter-disciplinary collaboration.This Principal Industrial Design role seeks a candidate to work with our engineering operations manufacturing and UX design teams on the framing and definition of current and future product opportunities. Successful candidates will demonstrate a desire to experiment and work well with others. Key job responsibilities- Use 2D and 3D tools to create designs that combine product appeal functionality and manufacturability- Develop design strategies to bring cohesion and consistency to the product portfolio- Oversee design and fabrication of compelling functional and/or appearance prototypes for review by team leaders and executive staff- Work with suppliers and engineers to develop refine and document high-quality cost-effective manufacturing methodsAbout the teamThe Amazon Delivery Experience design studio is an interdisciplinary team covering visual UX industrial and communication design. The base pay for this position ranges from $141500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
