This role applies engineering principles and continuous improvement methodologies to support operational excellence across the organization.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Position requirements include but are not limited to:Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve production workflows reduce costs and increase throughputData Analysis: Collect and analyze operational data to drive decisions on process optimization and resource utilizationLayout & Design: Develop and optimize plant layouts material flow and workstation design for maximum efficiencyLean & Six Sigma: Lead projects using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools to eliminate waste and improve qualityStandard Work: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructionsMaintenance Leadership: Provide direction and technical support to maintenance technicians to ensure effective execution of preventive predictive and corrective maintenance activitiesBackup Supervisor: Supervise production in the event of supervisor planned absenceCapacity Planning: Support production planning and forecasting by analyzing capacity and resource requirementsCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production maintenance and quality teams to ensure alignment on improvement initiativesTechnology Integration: Evaluate and implement automation and advanced manufacturing technologies where applicableKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologiesProficiency in CAD software and data analysis toolsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsExperience with ERP and MES systemsFamiliarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principlesProject management experienceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or related field2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineeringWORK ENVIRONMENT:General manufacturing warehouse and office environmentVisual acuity needed for close detail work and computer useModerate lifting is required at timesThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
