Are you ready to go beyondWhat You Will Do:Columbus Forge a recognized leader in producing disks for the aerospace propulsion market is looking for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to support the Heat Treat organization. The Principal Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for all aspects of part maturation from raw material to end use.Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolioProvide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targetsLeverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost delivery and quality of aerospace disk forgings; assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigationOwn relentless RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) for correcting non-conformance in the part families; perform DIVEs (Define Investigate Verify Ensure); implement and monitor corrective actions; monitor and report on the health of a part family; monitoring the non-conformances and how the part runs compared to standard timesLead the CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) journey to continuously improve the quality and exceed customers expectations; develop disk process using statistical methods that meet or exceed the business objective for process control.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelors Degree in a STEM field and 8 or more years experience in an engineering manufacturing materials management operations management quality or relatable industry or a Masters degree and 5 or more years experience in an engineering manufacturing materials management operations management quality or relatable industryProficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Word Excel PowerPoint and OutlookUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement programs)Qualifications We Prefer:Degree in EngineeringKnowledge and understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEANLearn More & Apply Now:In addition to transforming the future of flight we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
