Make a difference doing work you can be proud of and be part of a team that shares a passion of helping to protect our nation.As a Planner/Scheduler you will:Develop maintain and analyze schedules taking the lead to plan track analyze and report on project schedules of varying size and complexity both US Government and CommercialProvide key support to project and program management efforts monitoring work flow coordinating and tracking schedule and identifying key project delivery risks and issuesDevelop schedules using Deltek Open Plan to meet requirements in support of DoD and/or Commercial ContractsInteract daily with program management team members (Finance Ship Superintendents Project Managers Program Managers Craft Managers Safety and Quality Dept.) Subcontractor management team members and Government customer employeesCreate project schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to production forecasts or customer work specifications and drawing ordersMaintain and perform validation of project schedule configurations to meet industry standards for quality health check requirements for status and reportingOrganize and meet with production and subcontractors to gather status and review impact to key milestones and eventsProvide project schedule analysis to Project Team listing critical path activities to key milestones and events displaying activities that are behind schedule to baselineEnsure compliance with company scheduling procedures to set and maintain baseline schedulesMaintain continuous communication with Customer Project Managers and Project Teams on the progress of the project and schedulePrepare schedule narratives describing the status of assigned projects with weekly deliverablesCreate what if scheduling scenarios based on potential new and growth workEnsure that requirements of the safety handbook are properly followed and enforcedAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesRequired Education Experience & SkillsTypically 8 years with Bachelors or 6 years with Masters. Work experience considered in lieu of degree.Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel Power Point Word and OutlookExperience with Microsoft Project Primavera P6 or Open PlanProficiency in reading and knowledge of blueprints drawings diagrams and other technical referencesAbility to read blueprints and other technical documentsAbility to work and communicate with a diverse groupGood communication writing presentation and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast paced high volume production environmentAbility to obtain and maintain DBIDPreferred Education Experience & SkillsExperience using Deltek Open PlanExperience in working with U.S. Navy or Merchant MarinesShip Repair ExperienceUnderstanding of NAVSEA Standard ItemsPMP CertificationPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
