About the JobAre you a visionary product leader passionate about GitOps and Continuous Delivery Red Hat is seeking a Principal Product Manager to join our Hybrid Platforms product management team to work on our Kubernetes container this role you will shape the future of cloud-native continuous delivery by leading our OpenShift GitOps offering empowering developers and platform engineers with seamless automated deployments.You will be responsible for evolving and delivering our product roadmap by collaborating with customers engineering marketing support and field teams. As the accountable party for driving the delivery of solutions that will impact hundreds of thousands of OpenShift users globally you will oversee timelines roadmap execution and ongoing stakeholder engagement. You will also engage with open source communities that support our container initiatives including Kubernetes Argo CD Argo Rollouts and other Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) projects.As a Principal Product Manager you need to have great communication teamwork and persuasion skills. This is a great opportunity to work on a fast-growing offering alongside some of the brightest minds in open source.What Youll DoCollect and document input from Red Hat OpenShift users customers community members and Red Hat partners to understand customers needs; develop strategy and roadmap for OpenShift GitOps.Research competitive solutions commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives documenting their relative strengths and weakness to develop competitive positioning and collect input for new releasesPrioritize and document requirements epics and user stories for new releases of our offeringsGuide major enhancements of our offerings by working cross-functionally with core teams across our Engineering team and the upstream open source communityWork with the OpenShift Engineering team and the overall Product team to manage releases and updates of our offerings and bring new Red Hat OpenShift solutions to marketWork with our Sales teams to respond to customer inquiries; deliver customer presentations and demos and support the overall sales processSupport sales and marketing activities including creating presentations blogs demos and other technical collateral for our offeringsReview and provide feedback on the documentation for our offeringsParticipate in technical aspects of go-to-market engagements like live streams roadshows workshops webinars demos of offerings and solutions industry and partner events and sales enablement and trainingDemonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs (e.g. Google Gemini) as relevant for tasks such as brainstorming solutions deep research summarizing technical documentation drafting communications summarizing complex technical information and enhancing problem-solving efficiency across the development lifecycle.Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to product management and prototyping proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling.What Youll Bring5 years of enterprise software industry experience working in product management technical marketing or a similar technical product or customer-facing roleStrong understanding of the CI/CD landscape and cloud-native application architectures deployment and operationsAbility to translate complex technical concepts (e.g. CI/CD GitOps Kubernetes) into product strategy and customer value.Strong understanding of developer experience and design principlesFamiliarity with the Kubernetes and the Cloud-Native Computing Foundation (CNCF)Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD Flux Fleet etcUnderstanding of and experience with open source projects and communitiesProven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful productsAbility to think strategically influence cross-functional teams and manage without direct authorityCapacity to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in cross-functional environment with a distributed remote and global workforceUnderstanding of technical challenges to drive well-informed decisions with the development team#LI-EK1The salary range for this position is $151170.00 - $249390.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location experience applicable skills and training external market value and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hats compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus commission and/or equity.
