Principal QA Engineer at insightsoftware

Job DescriptionAs a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer you will play a strategic role in shaping the quality engineering practices across our Equity Management SaaS platform. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks drive quality initiatives and mentor a team of engineers to ensure our software meets the highest standards of reliability performance and security.This role requires deep technical expertise strong leadership and a customer-centric mindset. You will collaborate closely with product engineering and customer success teams to ensure our solutions exceed expectations and deliver measurable value.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and maintain robust automated testing frameworks and infrastructure across multiple layers of the application stackDefine and drive the overall quality strategy including functional non-functional and regression testingLead efforts to align automation coverage with development velocity and product risk profilesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define test conditions and acceptance criteria from user stories and requirementsOversee execution of test cases defect tracking and reporting of quality metricsChampion continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices to ensure rapid and reliable releasesDesign and execute performance security and accessibility testing strategiesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvementParticipate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning retrospectives and backlog groomingAct as a quality advocate in customer-facing engagements helping translate customer feedback into actionable improvements Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field; Masters degree preferred10 years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on automation and enterprise SaaS applications5 years of experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman Curl or Swagger3 years leading and coaching a team of QA engineers Advanced proficiency in C# SQL and modern test automation tools (e.g. Selenium WebDriver Playwright)Proven experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologiesDeep understanding of Agile SDLC QA methodologies and best practicesHands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or Azure DevOpsStrong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teamsExperience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and containerized environmentsPrior experience in the financial domain is a strong plusAdditional Information : All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. ** At this time insightsoftware is not able to offer sponsorship to candidates who are not eligible to work in the country where the position is located. **Learn more about our high-energy high-performance global team.
