About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Software Engineer join the Infrastructure Automation and DevSecOps team to develop the software and systems to enable developer self-service through Architecture-as-Code (AaC) and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) experiences. This software practice is focused on the modernization and transformation of how infrastructure fulfillment, provisioning and configuration is done across the firm. These advancements in Automation Engineering takes priority in changing the supportability and operability of all of Wells Fargo’s digital products and services across the world.In this role, you will:Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorBe responsible for taking a pivotal and essential role in design, development, deployment, and maintenance of a new cloud management platformEstablish additional standards and patterns to grow Golang software developmentCreate applications and services that promote efficiency and cost savingsIntegrate to cloud services providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud PlatformCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managersPlay an individual contribution as well as a team leader role in delivering on software development stories and tasksExpand upon developed and delivered products through cross-training/knowledge transfer to other software engineers, creating thorough documentation/other learning materials, and providing example user-specific application examples to the greater development communityRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education7+ years of Software Development experience with architecting, designing and developing frontend and backend applications using modern software programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript)7+ years of experience in developing software which utilizes either traditional relational databases or alternately non-relational databases5+ years of experience in developing software which utilize cloud web servicesDesired Qualifications:leadership experience5+ years of experience working in an agile environmentStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areasKnowledge and understanding of application and web securityKnowledge and understanding of technology performance: analysis, automated testing, and tuning for applicationsExperience developing applications using GolangKnowledge of one or more major Cloud Services Providers (CSPs) such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their primary web service offeringsExperience using Temporal and/or other similar workflow/FaaS style application frameworks and systemsExperience developing foundational software that can be appropriately leveraged by agentic AIExperience developing software utilizing modern AI language models within the software development lifecycleJob Expectations:Ability to work additional hours as neededAbility to travel up to 5% of the timeThis role is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipThis role is not eligible for relocation assistancePay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
