Principal Technician Material Tester at Mars

Job Description:The Material Tester is responsible for sampling and testing of incoming materials and testing to confirm conformance of finished goods. The role also manages document control for the area of responsibility and ensures these processes are effective and drives continuous improvement to ensure compliance to Quality Management Process (QMP). The Material Tester will: Partner with Site Supply team Logistics Commercial and R&D and other key stakeholders to implement changes such as new process or procedures to ensure testing are working effectively and efficiently.Provide technical expertise in SAP T&C Cocoa Bean system to key users as it relates to document control and non-conformance.What are we looking for High school diploma and 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturingCompetence in SAP SystemsAssociate or Bachelors Degree in science based curriculum will be preferredKnowledge of GMP Quality and Food Safety Management food safety risk identification and management HACCP and prerequisite controlsAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of ISO 9001:2008 FSSC 22000 and Quality Management SystemsCompetence with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel Word & PowerPointWhat will your key responsibilities beManage cocoa bean testing process ensuring timely disposition in system data trending non-conforming process and escalation to stakeholdersResponsible for sample collection and preparation of inbound in-process and finished goods for testingUpdate documents and perform training as required for area of responsibilityKey user of Atlas inbound including report generation and knowledge of inbound systemKey user for the SAP T&C Cocoa Bean system update cocoa bean testing plans in SAPDrive continuous improvement in Quality systems for area of responsibilityWork with others to improve processes and systems through innovation effective change control research and auditing.Maintain Good Laboratory practices including lab equipment maintenance and calibration programsParticipate in the site sensory programResponsible for ensuring incoming materials are properly released in a timely mannerResponsible for conducting verification testing of finished in-process and industrial products as requiredWhat can you expect from MarsWork with diverse and talented Associates all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company where were striving to build the world we want tomorrow today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package including company bonus.Required Experience:Staff IC Key Skills Athletics,Hr Internship,Insurance Management,Insurance Paralegal,Catia,ACCA Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
