Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This full-time, onsite Special Education Teacher position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting, working with students in grades 1-2. The role requires specialized skills and dedication to support young learners with diverse educational needs through a resource special education program. This contract position offers a comprehensive caseload of students and the chance to work closely with a collaborative team in a supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with special needs in grades 1-2Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with state guidelinesMonitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to optimize learning outcomesCollaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student supportMaintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirementsQualifications:Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License (PEL) is requiredExperience working with elementary-aged students in a resource special education role is preferredStrong understanding of special education laws, assessment techniques, and instructional strategiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in an onsite school environmentLocation:Elgin, IllinoisBenefits:Competitive weekly payHealth, dental, and vision insurance coverage401(k) retirement planThis role offers a rewarding chance to contribute to the educational growth and success of students with special needs in a dedicated elementary school setting.
