What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal HealthPharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Healths pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals hospital retail customers ambulatory care and alternate site facilities oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.Retail Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public in accordance with legal ethical and professional guidelines; may also consult with and advise patients and physicians regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications.Cardinal Health manages the West Houston Community Health Center and we are currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacist to work as needed covering PTO and vacation. The facility is open Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direct supervision of manager this position is responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.Maintains open communication and is available to customers and practitioner sites for consultationParticipates in supervision of technical staffEnsure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmaciesProvide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilityCompletes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries charges and inspections.QualificationsBachelors degree in pharmacy required PharmD preferredPharmacist registration in the state where the position is located requiredImmunization Certification or willing to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hireAbility to work a flexible scheduleInterpersonal relations and customer service skills340B experience preferredMay require vendor credentialingWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplies working knowledge in the application of concepts principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasksWorks on projects of moderate scope and complexityIdentifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolveApplies judgment within defined parametersReceives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projectsWork reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracyAnticipated hourly range:$50.10 per hour - $70.69 per hour.Bonus eligible:NoBenefits:Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws.Application window anticipated to close:12/07/2025 *if interested in opportunity please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
