Job Description

We are hiring a PRN Physical Therapist for our outpatient clinic. The assistant will implement physical therapy programs and activities follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments. The assistant is equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as individuals. The assistant understands that the goal is to execute a program that restores reinforces and enhances the patients physical abilities.Responsibilities:Provides patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.Responsible for timely documentation including daily notes weekly workers compensation reports progress reports and incident reports.Provide comprehensive patient care administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises therapeutic massage heat light sound water and electrical modality treatment such as ultrasound electrical stimulation ultraviolet infrared and hot and cold packs.Administers traction to relieve neck and back pain.Instruct motivate and assist patients in learning and improving functional activities such as perambulation transfer ambulation and daily living activities.Observe patients during treatments compile data on patients responses to treatments and progress and report orally or in writing to the Physical Therapist and/or Clinical Director.Fits patients for adjusts and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces prostheses and supportive devices such as crutches canes walkers and wheelchairs.Confers with physical therapy staff members and other health team members individually and in conference to exchange discuss and evaluate patient information for planning modifying and coordinating treatment programs.Measures the patients range of joint motion length and girth of body parts and vital signs to determine the effects of specific treatments or to assist the Physical Therapist in compiling data for patient evaluations.Qualifications : Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program. Current state of Virginia Physical Therapy license and CPR certification.Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment. Possesses basic PC skills and knowledge including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Database software and MS Office.Additional Information : Collaborative Team-Oriented Culture Competitive hourly pay range.Training and support.Multiple opportunities for professional development specialization and leadership.Clinic mentorship.Employee discount plans.Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Family-friendly work environment.Remote Work : NoEmployment Type : Part-time Key Skills EMR Systems,Early Intervention,Acute Care,Communication skills,HIPAA,Physiology Knowledge,Workers' Compensation Law,Computer Literacy,Pediatrics Experience,Home Care,Patient Service Experience,Medicare Experience: years Vacancy: 1
