Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:Required:Be actively engaged in and support a safety focused work environment by upholding the companys safety guidelines and policiesParticipate in incident investigations and assist in development and initiation of corrective and preventive actionsMaintain safe and clean work environmentEnsure compliance with all environmental rules laws and regulations.Manage project/product development from beginning to end including the scoping design execution and optimization of customer processes and reporting progress during new business funnel review meetings to senior management and stakeholdersDevelop and maintain manufacturing procedures for new product trials until project reaches commercialization stageDevelop effective cleaning processes and train operators on pre- and post-cleaning protocolsDevelop FMEAs for targeted processes/equipmentSupport Commercial Team as customer contact and liaison for all aspects of production trialsCoordinate all aspects of trials with internal stakeholders including purchasing and logistics shipping customer service and QC laboratoryTrain and supervise technicians/operators in setup operational and cleaning proceduresExecute manufacturing trials according to the published scheduleMonitor performance of manufacturing trial against initial estimates and present results and recommended changes during post-campaign reviewsProvide input to New Process Development Manager and Plant Manager for the installation of new equipment and piping to ensure that all applicable codes and regulations are met and downtime is minimizedParticipate in process safety steering committee and conduct on-time PSM reviews and PSSRsSupport Maintenance and Safety in adhering to the PSM standardOptimize core products-improving cycle time efficiency and throughputParticipate in project/product post campaign review to identify successes and opportunities for improvementAssist in tracking and optimizing plant performance utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools to improve cycle time throughput yield cost controls high quality parameters and overall processes.Assist in executing the annual capital plan for the business including project management and deployment of capital in the most efficient manner.Skills Qualifications Experience Special Physical Requirements:Required:BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering2-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferredDemonstrated experience running and optimizing chemical processesWorking knowledge in project management including proficiency with project management software such as MS Project and ExcelTechnical competence with various statistical software programs such as MinitabAbility to conduct material and energy balances on process unit operationsAbility to assemble and effectively present ideas concepts and proposals to all company and customer levels (Executive Buyer and Engineer) in a concise and professional mannerStrong organization prioritization and follow-up skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsResults oriented mindset as a self-starter who works well independently and understands expectationsCritical thinking and problem-solving skills that support effective decision making Key Skills Lean Manufacturing,Six Sigma,Distributed Control Systems,Continuous Improvement,Process Improvement,Minitab,Root cause Analysis,Process Engineering,cGMP,Kaizen,Programmable Logic Controllers,Manufacturing Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Yearly Salary Salary: 60000 - 70000
