We believe every building we create, and every part of that building, positively contributes to communities where people live, work and playJob DescriptionThe Process Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of the manufacturing processes and systems. Facilitates the manufacture of all products through continuous process improvement. Implements new processes to accommodate new part introduction and/or new equipment. Reduces waste, improves quality, increases output, and decrease downtime to improve profitability.RESPONSIBILITIESDesigns the ability to produce a quality product into the processDevelop measurement systems required to measure facilities metrics or key process indicatorsIdentify and analyze manufacturing problems to control and improve manufacturingInitiate, manage & participate in safety, quality, cost & process control improvement projectsDesigns and/or sources equipment for manufacturing processesManages capital budget projects as assignedAssists R & D effort to implement new products or process into productionDevelops all necessary process documentation (i.e. Standard work, Visual Work Instructions)Perform Capability Studies, Time Studies, Balanced Line Capacity Models, Flow Analysis, etc.Assesses existing processes for areas of improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) Six Sigma, design of experiment techniques, statistical process control, capability studies, etc. Includes leading/participation in continuous improvement eventsEvaluates and recommends implementation of competitive technologyLeads, where applicable, or works in conjunction with plant maintenance to ensure that the facility and equipment are maintained and updated consistent with short- and long-term goals and objectivesUpdate and/or create plant layoutsProvides training, as required, to associatesWorks in conjunction with Quality Assurance, to monitor and document quality standards (i.e. FMEAs, Control Plans)Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.Three or more years of process/manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment5+ years of Lean Manufacturing experienceLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferredAbility to create and understand drawings and blueprintsSafety and quality mindedProficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorksMust be legally allowed to work in the Unites States, sponsorship not availableMinimal travel requiredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
